Early Jan 2003 I was thinking about how to ship my car from CA to VA inexpensively. The solution: Drive it yourself. I mentioned this to my friend Rudi, who I was going to be working with in VA. Rudi bought a cheap ticket and flew to Oakland, CA via Jet Blue to help me pack. We started driving on Jan 14, 2003 and reached Reston, Virginia on Jan 19, 2003. From Burlingame, CA 101N, 92E, 880N, 580E, I-5S, I-40E, All this in California. Then we took I-40 East through Arizona, New Mexico, Texas Pan Handle, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennessee, Then we took I-81 North from Knoxville, TN into Virginia From I-81 to 66 East to 495 loop to 267 Toll road into Reston!!! As you can see, we did not take too many pictures. Instead we experienced it all and then forgot most parts...
